Returns, kept simple and honest
Plants don't always travel well, and we'd rather be upfront about how returns actually work here than bury it in fine print.
How it works
1. Request a return
From My Orders, open the order and request a return with a short reason. We ask for this within 7 days of delivery.
2. The seller reviews it
Your request goes straight to the seller. They can approve or decline it. Either way, you’ll both get notified as soon as they respond.
3. We coordinate the refund
Once a return is approved, our team will coordinate the refund with you directly. Declined requests stay visible on the order so there’s a clear record either way.
The details
You can request a return on any order from My Orders, with a reason, within 7 days of delivery. Right now that window applies regardless of where the order stands, though we expect to tighten this to delivered orders only as the policy matures.
The seller decides whether to approve or decline the request. They know their plants and packaging best. You'll both get a notification the moment they respond, so you're never left wondering where things stand.
If it's approved, our team will coordinate the refund with you directly. We don't have an instant, automatic refund button yet. A real person on our side will follow up to sort out the details with you.
A quick note on packaging: we encourage sellers to ship in eco-friendly containers, like the upcycled shells and jars you'll see across Coucou Vert. If you're returning a plant, sending it back the way it arrived (or as close to that as reasonably possible) helps everyone, but it's a courtesy, not a strict requirement.
Coucou Vert is still young, and this policy will likely evolve as we learn more about what buyers and sellers actually need. We'll keep this page up to date as that happens.
